Welcome to CrawfordSchools™
At CrawfordSchools™ we believe in education without fear, where good citizenship, leadership and sportsmanship are developed by placing emphasis on the needs of every child.
We would like to welcome you to the growing community of families that believe in the value of a Crawford education. Our graduates are well rounded, confident and apply the education and life skills with which they have been equipped.
We treat our students with dignity and respect, encouraging individuality and promoting self-assurance, confidence and independence.
Our academic philosophy of “Think, Understand, Apply” is adopted within our nurturing environment and our small classes ensure a close interaction between the teacher and student.
The expertise, commitment, innovative ideas and methodologies of our staff encapsulate the dynamics of our education philosophy.
Our Code of Conduct, together with a demerit and warning system, ensures that our students are responsible for their actions and have a clear understanding of the consequences.
CrawfordSchools™ has a panel of professional educators who constantly evaluate examinations written by the CrawfordSchools™ candidates.
At CrawfordSchools™, we provide the opportunity for pupils to participate in as many different activities as possible. This fulfills a vital educational function, and adds to the all-round development of our students.
CrawfordSchools™ has a “multiform” that encourages individuality. By offering options within the uniform, students can mix and match the casual uniform daily, allowing for freedom of expression within acceptable boundaries.
An underpinning value of a Crawford Education is “education without fear.” By implication this means that a positive and nurturing environment exists in our schools, where individuality and mutual respect are promoted.
I think the pre-school manages to prepare the children ideally for the years to come. They learn to respect rules and peers, start to get curious about learning and still get enough play time. This balance
creates happy, confident and “eager to learn” children.
“Crawford Village was a place where they held my children’s hands when they needed it, they let them challenge themselves when they needed it and they always made sure it was done with a smile and a hug! More importantly though, they held my hand along the way too. The support, guidance and care given to me, made me a better parent then and I still, to this day, carry these lessons with me.”
Parent, Crawford Pre-Primary Village
As the African Proverb says “It takes a whole village to raise a child” and this cannot be truer than what we have experienced at Crawford Lonehill Pre-Primary.
As parents of twins we were most worried about our children always being labelled ” The Twins”. We took the decision early on, with advice from the school, to separate them immediately when they joined in Grade 000. This was beneficial for both as they were allowed to explore their individual needs through social, emotional and educational guidance from their respective teachers. As the year progressed and they became more independent it was made clear through daily after school catch up that the staff, ranging from heads of school to the ground staff members, were all involved in our children’s daily lives.
We are looking forward to another year at Crawford Lonehill Pre-Primary knowing fully that our children’s confidence in becoming independent, forward thinking, sensible and well mannered individuals will blossom to encourage them to succeed in their future educational years.
